Trigger [CLOSED] (Closed Permanently)

(54 Ratings)
Only on Special Occasions
Once a regular hotspots, Trigger is now only open for select parties. Check our GayCities calendar for upcoming events. The club is NY swanky-cool as they come, especially in San Francisco. It's New York downtown posh come to bohemian San Francisco, and there are many stylin' gay men and lesbians who will appreciate that appeal. The expensive cocktails may dampen their enthusiasm a bit.

Trendy bar with cool dance music.

Of the newest bars in The Castro. Trigger has a trendy circular bar with the hottest shirtless bartenders serving strong drinks. This is one of the more upscale bars with a mezzanine that has tables and lounge chairs that can be reserved for table service and private parties. Although it plays some of the best music it lacks a decent dance floor. Its always crowded on the weekends thanks to its friendly staff, great atmosphere, amazing music, and the hottest strippers/go-go dancers.

Nicely decorated - that is about it.

Nicely decorated - that is about it. We found the staff and bartenders to be rude, the drinks weak and overpriced and the general atmosphere to be stuffy. There are MUCH better places to go to in the Castro. We waited in line for an hour and watched security let everybody they knew in the back door. Once we got inside we were very disappointed. No dance floor at all. Skip this place, especially if there is a line!

It's all about the music! (and the hot guys)

Had a great experience at Trigger last Saturday night on my birthday! If you're a local or there for a visit like me, definitely check it out. The go-go dancers & bartenders were really HOT, the drinks & service were excellent, and most importantly (in my book) THE MUSIC!!! So much better than the played out crack-pop remixes at Badlands! I don't know what all the negative reviews are about, but this club was definitely a much needed upgrade for the Castro dance scene. Thanks for making my birthday great Trigger (the fact that Falcon pornstar TJ Hawke gave me a superb birthday lap dance made it 10X better!)

If your single: GO HERE!

The first time I went to Trigger (Sunday afternoon) I thought it was an over rated bore for sure!!! My sexy bf and some friends decided to give it one more try. This time it was a Saturday night (Peak Time!!). There were ok good-looking dancers although they had no rhythm at all, and they all were buttafaces. The bartenders however are so much more cuter and have better personalities. It got crowded super quick which is great if your single, the main great thing about this place is that they take cards - not just cash so it's totally convenient.
