Very trendy club but small
Trigger is probably the trendiest club I have ever been to. The decor and the furniture are very swanky. The music is more current like Lady Gaga's songs from her current album. I really love the bathroom, but the door does not have any lock. The bathroom is also coed. The left side is for the ladies, and the right side is for the guys. The dance floor is small because the bar takes most of the space. I just cannot imagine myself going here on a crowded night.
Hmm
I have mixed feelings about Trigger. Each time I've gone I've loved the music, I've loved my bartender, I've loved the door person and the bathroom attendant is as cute as a button. If I were the type to own a Louis Vuitton he'd be in my bag when I left. I'm not in the business of lifting bathroom attendants but this one's a keeper. I think what F's with my mind about this place is it has the reputation of trying to be N.Y./L.A. but it is so freakin tinny inside. Moving around with a cocktails in hand definitely takes some skill. I have to say that the one thing that really pissed me off was buying a cocktail and having it picked up not five minutes later. It still had ice and it was 3/4full and yes it was an employee. That's the first time that's happened to me there and if it happens again I may not be visiting Trigger anymore but for now we're still cool.
Best "club" feel in the Castro
I went on a standard Saturday night around 11. I had heard/read that this was SF attempt at a NYC/LA type club. Drink prices were more expensive than SF gay club average, but still less than NYC/LA. It definitely felt a bit more upscale. The music wasn't bad, the clientele was "prettier" than average. For smokers, enjoy the smoking area on the ground floor overlooking market for people watching. Seemed to be mostly gay men there and str8 women, so I get why they had a few male "dancers" but why did they have a female "dancer" in the cage though?
