Four Barrel Coffee

100% love it
Hipster coffee haunt
Four Barrel is the latest fine coffee purveyor to set up shop on Valencia St. in the Mission district, except here you won't find the standard row of laptops. That's because the shop doesn't offer wi-fi (or tea for that matter), and the communal tables are set up for--get this--conversation!

      great hangout; great coffee
great hipster mission hangout, and some the best hand made, hand roasted coffee in the city, bar none.

Great wide open space - get the donuts
It seems like most coffee shops are cramped into small spaces, Four Barrel bucks that trend with 30(?) foot ceilings and a somewhat cavernous space. THey roast their own coffee in the back (making it look like a warehouse and brewery at the same time), but yet it somehow feels approachable and warm. The donuts are great, and the coffee is too. No wifi, but who cares. Play a board game or just talk - it's what the cool kids do.

      Spacious and well-lit
The open space and large windows create an inviting atmosphere. Yes, you will find a couple of people glued to their laptops.
