Felt very disciminated
So me and my partner go to have a nice bite to eat at Catch which has been talked up by several of our friends only to find out that the wait staff had a problem with my bear of a partner. The greeter thumbed his nose to us because we did not have the right look and sat us near the kitchen rather than near the outside as we had asked. Shame really as the food was nice. Never going again!!!
Catch-A-Britto
As an art aficionado, dining for the first time at the Catch along Market St. close to Castro was such a delight when two of renowned Brazilian-American artist Romero Britto's original paintings (as verified by the staff) are hanging inside the walls of the restaurant. Well, that says it all in there...

I love the salmon dinner (it has a slightly orangy marinade). The eggs benedict for brunch is slightly different than other places ... and oh so yummy.
location, location, location
just got back from dinner drinks at catch with a friend. it was a balmy 70 degrees in the castro, so we were looking for a place to eat outside. it has a nice outdoor cafe seating area, covered but open to the market street eye candy. i had the salmon blt, which was delicious. my friend had the ribeye, which he loved, and we shared a bottle of good wine. the tab was a bit rich for what was a competent but not incredible mean, but we were paying for the castro ambience and the open air seating, which was really lovely...
