Anchor Oyster Bar

100% love it
Don't show up late
This tiny storefront cafe is a Castro hot spot, boasting some of the neighborhoods best and most traditional seafood. Known for their daily raw bar selection, they are also favored for more classic dishes like Cioppino.

    • The seafood is good, but the prices are pretty steep, especially given the bad service. $75 for 2 people for lunch (no alcohol) is ridiculous. Table service is glacial in pace.

      kushis are a must!
The oysters were fresh and super yummy. The kushis are delish and the malpecs were also good. For those who fear carbs...beware...the bread is phenom!!!
